Day 1: Early morning drive from Kathmandu to Zhangmu (2,500m)
Day 2: Zhangmu - Xegar Check Post (4,350 m) - 244km
Day 3: Xegar Dzong - Xigatse (3,900m) - 244km via Shakya Monastery.
Day 4: Xigatse - Gyangtse (3,950 m) - 60km
Visit Tashi Lumpu Monastery in the morning.
Day 5: Gyangtse - Lhasa (3,650 m) - 261 km
Day 6: Visit Drepung and Sera Monastery, and the infamous Potala Palace.
Day 7: Visit the Barkhor and Jokhang.
Day 8: Transfer to the airport for the flight to Kathmandu.
